伊藤若冲
（いとう じゃくちゅう　1716～1800）

京都、錦の青物問屋の主であり、独学で
琳派、諸家を学び独自の画風を極める。
本品は「花卉（かき）図天井絵」の一部を
再現。古くから所蔵している版木から、
京都の摺匠達が摺り上げました。

Jakuchu Ito Woodcut, 1716-1800
Jakuchu Ito had studied Kano painting
in Kyoto where he was born as the son
of a rich merchant. He became famous
as a painter and printmaker of exotic
birds and of Buddhist subjects.
The artists's realistic painting style
became a source of inspiration for late
19th and early 20th century
kacho-e prints and paintings.

original woodblocks(Meiji era)
