名摺師が手がける最高傑作

今尾景年 keinen Imao （1845～1924）
京都に生まれる。初め浮世絵師梅川東居に師事、
のち鈴木百年に四条円山派を学ぶ。
花鳥画を得意とし国内外の博覧会で多数受賞す
るなど高い評価を得る。
帝室技芸員・文展審査員・帝国美術院会員等歴任。

再版には、明治期に木版画で出版した
「景年花鳥画譜」の原版木を用い、京都在住の
名摺師が当時のままに手摺しました。

Keinen Imao 1845-1924
Keinen's original name was Imao Isaburo. 
He taught at the Kyoto school of painting. 
In 1891 he published a set of four volumes 
of bird and flower albums.
