Fu Takenaka (1945~2022) Her main business is a textile designer and has been
active in Kyoto for many years. As she started making
woodblock prints,she learned from woodworkers the
skills of making woodblock prints and sliding
woodblock prints from professional craftsmen.
She is responsible for all the steps of drawing
originals, carving plates,
making woodblocks, and repeating slides repeatedly
to complete the work.
Taking advantage of the color expression cultivated
in textiles,the number of colors used is reduced,
and accent colors express works in a feminine and
gentle color.
